Senior P6 Engineering Planner
Bechtel is leading the project to design and construct the Natrium sodium fast reactor in Reston, VA. This role focuses on planning and scheduling using Primavera P6 for a complex engineering and construction project.

Job Summary
Schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery planning
Progress reporting and analysis including P6 quality metrics
Support planning studies, forecasts, problem solving exercises
Major Responsibilities
Analyze schedule data, identify problems, and recommend solutions
Establish milestones for total project or major portions
Load and level scheduling resources and develop release curves
Monitor critical path and schedule performance; prepare recovery plans
Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints
Coordinate work sequences and coordinate with performing organizations
Develop quantity release or installation curves; perform quantity, personnel, and cost resource loading
Assist cost engineer, coordinate schedule trends, and monitor performance control functions
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field and 5-8 years of professional experience, OR high school diploma and 9-12 years of professional experience
Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Pre‑employment drug screen and background check including verification of employment, education, and travel
Required Knowledge and Skills
Experience preparing, monitoring, and reporting schedule information in engineering, procurement and construction environments
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated advanced capability level with Primavera P6 and experience on complex projects
Strong oral and written communication; ability to plan, organize, and present planning products independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities; ability to work with people of varied backgrounds
