ECI has immediate openings for Design Engineers in Billings, MT. Responsibilities
Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations. Material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications. Under the oversight and mentorship of a Project Engineer, assist in the execution of projects with coordination, quality control and oversight of designers, drafters and support staff. Coordinate specialized tasks with ECI discipline groups such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, and Communication (SCADA Integration) and Transmission & Distribution Engineering. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Design engineering experience is a plus; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy. Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules; commitment to progress toward PE licensure is encouraged. Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards. Occasional travel required; subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
