Project Engineer I is an entry-level position within the Transmission Department, responsible for performing electric utility-related engineering tasks and providing technical expertise to solve design problems under close supervision. Incumbents are expected to perform routine tasks to gain experience and familiarity with engineering staff, methods, practices, and standards. This position reports to the Manager of Transmission Engineering. The engineer should be flexible with work assignments and eager to learn new skills as capabilities develop. Job Type

Full-time Responsibilities

Perform electric utility-related engineering tasks under close supervision. Assist in the design and evaluation of transmission and distribution infrastructure using AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, and other design tools. Develop understanding of RUS and NESC requirements; assist in contract preparation and administration. Review engineering plans, specifications, and equipment for utility projects. Prepare technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches. Contribute to the development of company and client standards for future projects. Utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively. Interface professionally with clients, vendors, and team members. Travel as needed for project requirements. Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. No experience required; current Engineering Intern status or FE exam passage within six months of hire preferred. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus. Additional Details
