The Laboratory Technician I reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and is responsible for completing assigned duties, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining safety and efficiency in the lab. Demonstrate and promote the company vision Maintain regular attendance and punctuality Follow management system requirements including SOPs and quality manuals, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other regulations Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records Enter data into Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and promptly Complete laboratory testing efficiently, ensuring turnaround time goals are met Verify and submit results timely Identify process issues and report with proposed solutions Maintain readiness to respond to client and staff needs Foster cooperative relationships and communicate effectively Promote ethical business practices and improve work quality Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications Perform activities safely and efficiently Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
High school diploma required AS or BS in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field preferred Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Problem-solving and action-oriented mindset Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Additional Information
Compensation:
$17.00 - $17.50 hourly Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, with additional hours as needed. Candidates should live within commuting distance to Salinas, CA.
