Join our team as a Behavioral Health Consultant at our Yakima Medical Dental Clinic. The Behavioral Health Consultant provides primary care-based behavioral health services to clients with complex or chronic needs, depending on the assigned program as determined in the treatment or care plan of the client. Counseling or therapeutic services are provided as part of a team, with primary care-based services being integrated into the care plan directed by the primary care provider. We offer this position at either a PsyD/PhD clinical psychologist or an independently licensed Master\'s-level mental health therapist.

What You’ll Do
Provide on-site behavioral health services in the primary care clinic.
Provide consultation with Providers to aid or assist in the primary care of patients.
Serve as primary mental health Provider or ancillary health Provider as needed.
Assist care team with ICD-11 diagnoses, adding mental health differential diagnoses and contextual and relational perspectives.
Work across disciplines to provide equitable biopsychosocial-spiritual care, intervening in support of team and patient goals.
Use culturally informed and evidence-based literature for shared decision-making around health behaviors and assist with navigating the healthcare system.
Work in a closely organized, interdisciplinary team on treatment plans, patient advocacy, and clinic processes.
Conduct individual and group training for staff and community organizations as requested by supervisor.
Develop research-related funding proposals.
Partner with other Providers to triage referrals and provide coverage/back-up for others.
May assign patients to team clinicians.
Perform other duties as assigned, and ensure alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), HRSA, APA and YVFWC requirements.
Represent the program at meetings as requested by Behavioral Health or clinic leadership.
Participate in developing new programming and projects related to Behavioral Health.
Qualifications
Clinical Psychologist Requirements:
Education:
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology.
Experience Preferred:
One year of clinical experience in a multidisciplinary primary care or medical setting; experience with children, adolescents, and families in behavioral health settings.
Licenses/Registration:
Licensed Psychologist in the state; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days of hire.
Master’s Level Therapist Requirements:
Education:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
Experience:
Two years post-master’s direct treatment experience; WA designation as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) may substitute for this experience.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration:
BLS within 45 days; one of the following licenses (must apply within one week of hire if not current): LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC, etc. (see list in original posting).
Additional:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
