We are seeking a
Licensed Practice Nurse . The
Licensed Practice Nurse
will offer friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every participant to ensure a positive experience at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. The nurse displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively, and functions as a member of the healthcare team. They work under the supervision of the charge nurse and report to the Nurse Manager. The nurse demonstrates competency in patient care skills and problem-solving related to participant care activities. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Collect patient information and assessment data. Obtain and record vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height in EPIC and complete study source documents. Perform EKGs, blood collection, IV insertions, and administer IV fluids and medications via piggyback. Administer medications orally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intradermally. Perform lab tasks, including packaging, manual urine and pregnancy testing, glucose testing, hemoccult, and urine collection. Document observations and findings promptly and accurately. Report problems to the study team. Perform study-specific procedures, interviews, and data collection. Monitor patient status, recognize and report abnormal findings or changes, and document appropriately and timely. Participate in skills development and training through in-service programs and computer-based modules. Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Courteous communication skills. Technical Qualifications or Certifications Proficiency in using a keyboard and computer. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing school and licensure as an LPN. Active Maryland LPN license. Preferred Qualifications Experience in research settings or at least one year of experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or long-term care facilities. Classified Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CE Starting Salary Range: $19.75 - $35.35 hourly ($57,200 targeted; commensurate with experience) Employee group: Full Time Schedule: Sunday-Saturday, 12-hour shifts (3 days) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Department: SOM ICTR Inst Clin Translational Resrch Personnel area: School of Medicine
