Overview
The 2026 Future Talent Program - Analytical Research & Development – Co-Op is a full-time 4-6 month co-op position in the company\'s Analytical R&D department. Co-ops will work in Rahway, NJ; West Point, PA; Boston, MA; and South San Francisco, CA, collaborating in a team environment at state-of-the-art laboratories to develop novel analytical methodologies that impact drug substance and drug product development. The program provides exposure to key challenges in product and process characterization and opportunities to present research results in oral and written formats. The role supports the drug development process and global healthcare advancement through leading-edge analytical science. Locations : Rahway, NJ; West Point, PA; Boston, MA; South San Francisco, CA Responsibilities
Work on day-to-day research focused on solving key challenges in product and process characterization. Engage with core instrumentation used for analysis of small molecules, biologics and/or vaccines, and for determining drug substance/product attributes. Develop analytical, physical, and biological chemistry methods as part of an integrated team supporting the small and large molecule pipeline. Participate in departmental and project team meetings; maintain accurate electronic notebooks; analyze and interpret data for internal/publications that may follow from the co-op. Refine laboratory skills, learn new analytical techniques, and gain perspective on practical aspects of drug development; present research results verbally and in writing. Qualifications
We are seeking co-op candidates at undergraduate and graduate levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment. Available to work full-time for 4-6 months beginning in early to mid-2026. Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study toward a bachelor\'s degree by June 2026. Education Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled pursuing a Bachelor\'s, Master\’s, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Biology (e.g., Cell Biology, Virology), Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline. Required Experience And Skills
Available to work full-time for 4-6 months beginning in early to mid-2026. Must have completed at least 2 years of study toward a bachelor\'s degree by June 2026. Preferred Experience And Skills
Significant interest in analytical sciences for small molecules, vaccines, and/or biologics. Basic laboratory skills and research experience (e.g., lab notebook record-keeping, use of analytical instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation, safe lab practices). GPA of 3.0 or higher.
