leading commercial General Contractor
seeking experienced
Project Executives
to oversee
large-scale multifamily mid-rise, healthcare, industrial, and/or ground-up multimillion-dollar projects
in the
Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach areas . The
Project Executive
will lead, manage, and coordinate all phases of multiple projects or assigned sectors from start to finish, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, closeout, and team development. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while cultivating client relationships and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities
Overall Focus
Build diverse, high-performing teams through coaching, training, and development opportunities. Support business development by maintaining strong relationships with clients, designers, engineers, and other industry professionals. Oversee preconstruction and ensure project teams execute work safely and profitably. Participate in project acquisition, scoping, and budgeting to achieve profitability objectives. Establish project milestones and assign qualified staff to manage scope and complexity. Provide oversight and ensure that client expectations and company objectives are met or exceeded. Business Development
Collaborate with estimating and business development teams to secure new work. Represent the company in presentations and interviews to win projects. Pre-Job Planning
Transition projects from preconstruction to active field operations seamlessly. Assign project management staff and review pre-mobilization activities. Lead turnover meetings to align preconstruction and field teams. Project Management
Monitor performance of Project Managers and Superintendents. Forecast project outcomes accurately. Conduct regular site visits to evaluate schedule, budget, and quality, addressing challenges proactively. Financial Management
Ensure timely and accurate cost forecasting and reporting. Oversee billing processes, payment collections, and subcontractor payments. Maintain positive cash flow and financial health for all projects. Project Closeout
Develop closeout plans early and ensure all documentation is collected and submitted on time. Drive timely completion of closeout activities. Meeting Management
Establish and lead structured, effective meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Use agendas and enforce time limits to maintain focus. Risk Management
Implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect company assets. Address subcontractor performance issues promptly. Maintain a zero-incident safety culture. Client Relationships
Build strong, professional relationships with owners and clients. Ensure transparent communication to avoid surprises. Strive for client satisfaction and positive references. Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and coach team members, fostering career growth and development. Create a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Resolve conflicts promptly and effectively. Promote adherence to standard operating procedures and company values. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, plus
10+ years of progressive construction experience , or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive on-site project management experience. Strong budgeting and forecasting experience within a job-cost environment. Proficiency with scheduling, construction management software, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills with the ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, and specifications. Key Attributes
