Job Summary
The Payroll Tax and Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing payroll operations and tax compliance across multiple countries. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, tax reporting, and adherence to global regulatory requirements. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Oversee payroll tax registrations, rate maintenance, and account closures across multiple jurisdictions. Lead resolution of complex payroll and tax issues, including audits, reconciliations, and notice responses. Support end-to-end global payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws and company policies. Maintain and execute SOX controls and other compliance frameworks for payroll and tax processes. Monitor global payroll and tax legislation, assess impact, and recommend process adjustments. Administer taxability of earnings and deductions, including supplemental compensation and multi-state or multi-country allocations. Support payroll operations related to mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes. Collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity. Partner with external payroll vendors to ensure service quality and compliance. Provide guidance and support to regional payroll teams and promote use of centralized service tools. Skills and Minimum Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent 6+ years of experience in global payroll operations and payroll tax Strong understanding of international, federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Experience with payroll systems (e.g., SAP Employee Central Payroll, Workforce Software, UKG. Kronos, ADP GlobalView, Celergo) Prior experience resolving payroll tax notices and managing audits Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Multilingual skills are a plus Proficient in MS Office and payroll software Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Experience in global payroll operations, international compliance, and tax vendor management Payroll certification (CPP, FPC, or international equivalent) preferred Travel Requirements
Domestic and/or International (0 - 25%) The salary range for this position is $83,300.00 to $149,900.00.
