Position Overview The Senior Project Manager - CIP position aims to expand McAdams' presence in the design and implementation of CIP projects within the firm. Additionally, this role supports other Water Resources Department initiatives across the organization. The Senior Project Manager will focus on developing and maintaining client relationships and play a key role in securing grant funding or alternative project financing when applicable. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with other operational groups within the company Operate within the frameworks of McAdams and the Water Resources Unit Develop and sustain the CIP Practice within Water Resources Ensure quality across all projects and set design standards Establish training and proficiency requirements for team members Manage resource scheduling to meet workload and deadlines Communicate effectively with staff, management, clients, and stakeholders Understand decision-making boundaries within your practice area Provide technical guidance to design staff Develop innovative design concepts with team input Mentor staff to develop technical competence Collaborate with project managers to resolve complex issues and meet project goals Prepare reports on project status, profitability, and staff utilization Oversee project financials, including billing and receivables Develop staff for project execution Build meaningful client relationships based on understanding business needs Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives Stay informed on trends and emerging technologies in Water Resources and CIP fields Engage with professional organizations and industry events Support project pursuits through proposals and marketing activities Travel to expand services in other metro areas where McAdams operates Skills + Experience B.S. in engineering from an accredited college PE license required 10+ years of relevant experience Motivated to develop a CIP practice Expertise in civil engineering related to Stormwater projects Proven leadership and project management skills Ability to manage and grow client relationships independently Understanding of budget impacts and financial expectations Strategic thinker with growth-oriented plans Established relationships within the community valuable for CIP development Work Environment + Physical Demands Primarily office-based with limited exposure to environmental hazards Repetitive motions such as typing and grasping are common Must have visual acuity for computer work, and the ability to talk, hear, and sit for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks as needed McAdams is an equal opportunity employer.
