Supplier Quality Engineer – Experienced (Aerospace) Join Parker Hannifin as an on-site, individual contributor in Elyria, Ohio. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.

Position Summary Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by participating in the Supplier selection program regarding supplier capabilities and working with existing suppliers to ensure full quality compliance.

Essential Functions

Establish and maintain a Supplier quality system that is effective in producing, measuring, and maintaining a supply base measured by DPPM.

Ensure compliance to procedures outlined in the Supplier Quality Manual and revise and implement changes as required.

Participate in Supplier reviews and provide input to the Purchasing Department regarding supplier quality.

Perform supplier quality system activities, ensuring reliability and accuracy of products provided by the supply base.

Ensure that nonconforming material is dispositioned in a timely manner and coordinate with suppliers on all initiatives relating to supplier quality performance.

Track performance trends, perform quality trend analysis from the supplier base, and facilitate corrective actions as appropriate.

Lead supplier development activities for the dock-to-stock program.

Utilize lean manufacturing, error proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives to support the Supplier base by assisting in the development of robust processes that assure quality products and services.

Provide support to customers relative to supply-based issues and participate in lean and high-performance team activities and/or events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2-5 years related experience (Quality Engineering preferred).

Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles, and concepts.

Ability to effectively solve problems, assess and implement continuous improvement techniques in quality and manufacturing functions, and establish goals and objectives to complete projects.

Prefer ASQ Certification, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification, and/or ISO Internal Auditor Certification.
