Position Summary Any Baby Can has a current opening for a Grants & Contracts Manager position. The Grants & Contracts Manager is responsible for the oversight, compliance, and fiscal management of government contracts. This role ensures adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements while supporting programmatic success. The Manager will develop and monitor budgets, track spending, oversee subgrantee compliance, and work collaboratively with program staff to ensure performance and reporting metrics are met. This position will also provide expertise in budget development and reporting for foundation grants while reviewing and maintaining memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and other miscellaneous contracts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with agency policies and funder requirements. Key Responsibilities

Contract & Grant Compliance Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, local, and private funder requirements, including The Office of Management and Budget’s Uniform Guidance and related regulations. Interpret and communicate contractual obligations, providing guidance to program and administrative staff. Monitor agency policies and procedures for alignment with contractual requirements; recommend and implement updates as needed. Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies and lead contract renewals and proposal processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Track and manage reporting deadlines, ensuring financial and programmatic submissions are accurate and aligned with funder expectations. Lead and coordinate funder audits and monitoring reviews, ensuring timely preparation of materials, effective communication with funders, and appropriate follow-up on findings or recommendations. Budgeting & Financial Oversight Develop, monitor, and manage detailed budgets for government contracts and foundation grants. Track expenditures against approved budgets, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions as needed. Submit timely, accurate financial reports and billings to funders, ensuring compliance with requirements. Collaborate with finance and program staff to ensure accurate accounting, documentation, and proactive communication on spending and projections. Subgrantee Management Support the development and execution of MOUs for subgrantees, ensuring terms align with contractual and organizational policies. Review and approve subgrantee budgets and invoices, ensuring compliance with funder and agency requirements. Coordinate with program managers to conduct monitoring activities, including desk reviews, site visits, and annual compliance assessments, and ensure thorough documentation of findings. Provide training and technical assistance to subgrantees on contract compliance, financial management, and reporting requirements, while maintaining well-organized records of all subgrantee agreements, monitoring reports, and correspondence. Foundation & Organizational Contract Management Collaborate with development staff to prepare budgets for foundation grant proposals and ensure consistency of budget narratives with program objectives. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for foundation funders, ensuring compliance with grant requirements. Review, develop, and maintain MOUs and miscellaneous contracts across the organization to ensure they are current, compliant, and aligned with agency policies. Maintain a centralized and well-organized system for storing and monitoring MOUs and other contracts. Other assignments may be added as needed or required. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in compliance monitoring, contract administration, or finance. Experience in a nonprofit environment working with government contracts is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of state and federal grant regulations (e.g., OMB Uniform Guidance) and funder compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience with budgeting and financial analysis. Nonprofit fund accounting experience is strongly preferred. Experience monitoring and providing technical assistance to subgrantees or subcontractors. Proficiency in Excel and financial/accounting software. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively interact with funders, subgrantees, program staff, and agency leadership. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated success meeting overlapping deadlines with frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
