Houston, TX Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures, grounds, and utility systems, maintaining Santa Maria’s fleet of vehicles, overseeing maintenance and housekeeping staff, tracking maintenance requests, and keeping accurate records of preventative maintenance and repairs. Position involves driving between facilities and requires a valid driver’s license with proof of current insurance and a clean driving record. No smoking workplace. Schedule:

Mon-Fri, evenings and weekends as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for overall supervision, training, and support of maintenance and housekeeping staff. Works with maintenance staff and contractors to manage expenses and determine the most cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repair needs. Ensures maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with various safety and ADA regulations. Oversees maintenance staff and contractors to perform structural repairs and improvements as needed (i.e. painting, masonry, and woodwork) to buildings and furnishings. Maintains and repairs building utility systems (i.e. electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilation systems and plumbing systems). Maintains property landscape (i.e. mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, disposing of leaves and refuse). Manages facility repair and improvement projects and inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards. Installs, services and repairs mechanical equipment, as needed. Completes requisitions for tools, equipment and supplies as needed. Collaborates with other departments in the coordination of special events and projects. Qualifications

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role; strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, heating, etc.); certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing strongly preferred; understanding of budgeting and performance management; knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance; vocational certificate, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certification preferred. Equal Employment Opportunity
