Job Title:

Survey Crew Chief This position involves performing field operations for various types of surveys, including ALTA, topographical, and construction surveys. The role requires the operation of instruments and data collection systems such as total stations, levels, and other measuring devices. Additionally, the role includes assisting or performing the processing of field measurements and data for reports, as well as maintaining survey equipment and supplies for crew vehicles. Responsibilities

Conduct field operations for ALTA, topographical, and construction surveys. Operate instruments and data collection systems, including total stations and levels, to acquire data. Assist or perform the processing of field measurements and related data for reports. Maintain survey equipment and supplies for crew vehicles. Essential Skills

At least 2-3 years of surveying experience in the field. Minimum of 3 years experience working with total stations. At least 1 year of experience running a crew and scheduling. Proficient in Trimble GPS, Robotics, and Construction Stakeout. Experience with Boundary Survey Software, Carlson, and GPS. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with land surveying, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys. Knowledge of Topcon and land development. Ability to perform various survey operations independently. Work Environment

The work is 100% in the field. The crew meets at the office at 6:30 am and then proceeds to the site. Crew chiefs are provided with a company truck and receive payment on rain days. The team works on projects including K-12, light commercial, and industrial sectors, and consists of around 50 people in total. The position is with a reputable firm that has been in operation for over 60 years. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beltsville, Maryland. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
