Overview

Adept at most levels of wall finishes and paint coatings. Painter tasks include, but are not limited to: floor, wall and ceiling surface, maintenance and installation, preparation, painting, color matching/mixing, tape/mud/finish wallboard, wall covering and cove base. Surface preparation and painting of mechanical system components. Make recommendations during design or diagnostics, maintain proper inventory of products used within the Painting Discipline. Rated wall inspection and maintenance. Utilizing all basic painter tools and equipment, working with a variety of mediums (wallboard, wood, metal, plastics). Demo of walls and casework required as needed. All tasks may be carried out in patient and staff occupied areas and shall be accomplished in such a manner so as not to disturb the normal flow of hospital work using current policies and procedures including those involving patient safety and infection control. Tasks may be carried out outdoors and are accomplished using a flexible schedule. Ability to work with little to no supervision. This position will be called upon to service off site clinics, Ambulatory Care Units as well as other main campuses, this includes driving company vehicles to and from said sites and product pick up. Perform painting tasks on floors, walls, ceilings, and mechanical components, including preparation, finishing, color matching and mixing, and surface protection. Prepare surfaces, install, tape, mud, and finish wallboard, apply wall coverings, and finish cove base as required. Inspect walls and perform maintenance; use a variety of tools and mediums (wallboard, wood, metal, plastics). Demonstrate walls and casework as needed; support design or diagnostic recommendations; maintain inventory of painting products. Work in patient and staff occupied areas without disturbing hospital operations; follow policies on patient safety and infection control. Work outdoors as needed with a flexible schedule; operate with little supervision. Respond to service requests for off-site clinics, Ambulatory Care Units, and other campuses; drive company vehicles to sites and pick up products as required. Qualifications
