Job Overview We invite select Expert Geospatial Intelligence Analysts to support the U.S. Special Operations Command in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. The role involves applying advanced geospatial practices to real‑world operations, supporting operational planning cycles, and integrating geospatial intelligence into mission decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Perform full spectrum geospatial analysis supporting complex, topographic, and imagery problem sets for global real‑world operations.
Communicate analytical assessments clearly and succinctly in both written and oral formats, presenting analysis products from creative analytical techniques.
Process, exploit, and disseminate ground feature data and remotely sensed data such as multi‑spectral imagery (MSI), LiDAR, and electro‑optical imagery.
Work in dynamic, fast‑paced environments requiring both team interaction and individual effort, interfacing with internal and external leadership.
Fuse multi‑discipline intelligence sources to provide accurate and timely geospatial analysis in direct support of geographically dispersed DoD organizations.
Interface with operational elements to ensure command goals are accomplished through synchronization of the geospatial enterprise.
Provide critical recommendations to operational decision makers and expand knowledge of operational application of geospatial practices.
Required Qualifications
Top Secret Clearance and meet the requirements of DCID 6/4
Advanced level geospatial, topographic, and imagery analysis supporting Special Operations missions with regional and point analysis products.
8+ years of progressive experience performing complex, timely geospatial, topographic, and imagery analysis at operational and tactical levels.
Proficiency in geospatial and intelligence data management within OGC‑compliant applications and databases.
Project‑lead experience, highly proficient in GIS applications and intelligence automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
Imaging analysis and production, broad understanding of collection processes and management.
Research, train, document, and implement geospatial processing methodologies to solve complex tactical intelligence problems.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing, GIS, Activity Based Intelligence, Cartography, or Geography (or related field).
Direct experience supporting SOF military operations in garrison and deployed environments.
Advanced knowledge of computer scripting languages such as Python, R, Visual Basic, C++, or Java.
