Sr Manager, Global Commodity (Medical Devices)

Responsible for implementing a commodity procurement and inventory strategy that supports the Company’s global manufacturing supply chain. Develop, direct, and influence the global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements. Job duties : Manage the policies and processes to purchase complex raw materials and components required to process and manufacture products, conduct research, or enable other business activities. Monitor, analyze, and provide recommendations based on the commodities market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchase decisions with the highest spend and most complexity. Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers and develop relationships to provide reliable sourcing and ensure the quality and availability of required commodities. Oversee bidding and contract negotiations to obtain the best pricing to meet commodity needs. Lead and ensure that project / department milestones / goals are met and adhere to approved budgets. Analyze inventory levels, manufacturing schedules, and long-term business objectives to plan and manage purchases. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods. Ensure alignment and accountability with all key stakeholders to complete validations. Develop KPI and report relevant purchasing metrics. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company. Prepare for and participate in regular quality and financial audits. Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization. Perform additional duties as assigned. Salary Range $130,000-$160,000 Financial compensation packages may be higher / lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
