Full-Time We are seeking a
Senior Gift Officer
to join our development team. As a
Senior Gift Officer , you will qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and donor prospects capable of making commitments starting at $25,000/year across all ministries and programs of Buckner International. Join our team and help us shine hope in the lives of others! What You’ll Do
As a member of our team, you will impact our clients through the following responsibilities: Manage a donor development portfolio of individuals, churches, foundations, and other organizations, with the ability to secure gifts of $25,000 or more annually. Develop and implement an annual development plan for assigned donors and prospects to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships. Support identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for capital fund drives and organizational campaigns. Utilize Buckner tools and resources to establish strategies and conduct calls and visits with potential donors, including individuals, foundations, churches, and corporations, either independently or with Buckner staff. Make qualification calls and visits to identify potential donors and cultivate relationships for donations starting at $25,000/year. Prepare written proposals to support direct solicitations. Support Buckner events and activities in assigned areas, including travel to visit donors and prospects. Collaborate with program staff, Executive Directors, Buckner Board Members, Development Council Members, and volunteers in donor cultivation and solicitation. Promote understanding and awareness of Buckner’s mission among donors and prospects by managing relationships internally and externally. What You’ll Bring to the Team
To succeed in this role, you should have: Proven ability to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors in the assigned area for all Buckner ministries and programs. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. 5 to 8 years of experience in building and maintaining relationships with constituents engaged with organizations. Experience in developing and refining solicitation content. Successful track record in relationship development leading to contributions. Current certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (preferred). Knowledge of proposal writing, foundation grant processes, and donor development laws and regulations.
