About the Role We are hiring a results-oriented
Product Development Manager
to lead our Middle Mile/Domestic Transportation initiatives. This role is critical in shaping how shipments move through our domestic network—from origin fulfillment centers to regional hubs and last-mile injection points. You’ll design tech-enabled workflows that increase routing efficiency, reduce handoff delays, and drive measurable service improvements across the transportation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Own the roadmap for middle-mile products including trailer routing, linehaul optimization, hub handoffs, and sort center workflows
Partner closely with engineering, operations, and network planning teams to develop scalable solutions
Translate operational challenges into product requirements that enhance speed, cost efficiency, and network visibility
Analyze large datasets to identify bottlenecks, recommend network changes, and validate the impact of product rollouts
Support hub launches and network reconfigurations through product design and testing
Influence internal and external stakeholders to adopt new tools and operational behaviors
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in logistics & supply chain:
Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile/delivery operations
Experience with 3PL services, freight forwarding, cross-border logistics, or middle/last-mile networks
Understanding of industry standards (e.g., Incoterms, customs requirements, carrier contracts)
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (sales, operations, IT, finance) through product development
Strong project management skills to oversee pilots, testing, and service launches
Experience with agile methodologies is a plus (especially if the 3PL has a tech platform)
Technical & Analytical Proficiency
Comfort with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms like Tableau or Power BI)
Ability to model cost, time, and operational impacts of new products
Basic understanding of APIs or system integration if working on tech-enabled logistics product
Experience defining product vision, roadmaps, and feature requirements
Ability to translate customer pain points into actionable product requirements (BRDs, PRDs)
Familiarity with pricing strategies for logistics services
Knowledge of service design, operational process mapping, and go-live planning
