Crude Oil Options Trader

to join our trading team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market making and proprietary trading within the oil options market or in commodity options. The role requires a deep understanding of trading strategies, risk management, and market insights to drive profitability and enhance our market presence. Key Responsibilities : Evaluate and execute oil options trades with a focus on market making and discretionary vol trading strategies. Develop and implement trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and manage risk. Monitor and analyze market trends, news, and data to make informed trading decisions. Manage positions and risk within defined limits, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and support teams to optimize trading performance. Utilize trading platforms and tools to enhance trading efficiency and performance. Maintain strong relationships with market participants, including brokers, exchanges, and other traders. Provide regular reports and updates on trading performance, market conditions, and strategy adjustments. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 1 year of experience in options trading Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex market data. Proficiency in Python for research and data analysis Excellent risk management skills and the ability to manage positions within defined risk limits. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make quick, informed decisions. The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
