Global Recruiters of Buckhead has launched a priority search on behalf of an industry-leading, diversified manufacturer at the forefront of the renewable building materials industry. With a steadfast commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and long-term growth, our client is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Corporate Mechanical Project Engineer to drive critical capital projects across their U.S. operations. Relocation assistance is available if needed.

As a key member of the engineering group, you will be at the heart of the action, traveling to facilities across the United States to spearhead the conceptualization, development, and execution of vital capital and major maintenance projects. From initial scope and budget to construction and commissioning, you will be a pivotal driver of progress, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget. You will act as the crucial link between on-site teams, leadership, and external partners, transforming engineering concepts into operational reality.
Responsibilities
Drive End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the conceptualization, detailed scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of cost-effective capital projects.
Travel regularly for hands-on engagement at various sites to provide insights, coaching, and drive projects forward.
Lead with Influence: Supervise and guide trades and contractors, championing the highest standards of safety (OSHA, NFPA) and quality on every job site.
Be the Technical Expert: Serve as the go-to technical resource for manufacturing facilities, traveling to troubleshoot complex challenges, assess equipment, and implement corporate best practices.
Forge Strong Partnerships: Liaise with consulting engineers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project alignment and execution.
Communicate with Impact: Deliver clear and concise progress reports and presentations on project status to all levels of the organization, from the plant floor to the management team.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
3-5+ years of hands-on construction project management experience within a heavy manufacturing environment (Wood Products, Metal, Steel, Automotive, etc.).
Proven leadership skills in planning, organizing, and directing project teams to achieve objectives.
Ability to read and interpret Civil, Structural, and Mechanical drawings.
Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and data analysis tools like Power BI.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to learning and growth.
