Sr Engineer, Gas Metering Overall Objective
Expert in L+G Gas Meter Design, Calibration and Operation. Landis+Gyr commits to providing quality services and products. The design of the gas meter is optimized to maintain lifetime accuracy. Low product cost. The manufacture and calibration of the gas meters are optimized for performance and accuracy. Adherence of project schedules. Successful performance of design. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Provide technical support for the hardware and mechanical design teams to optimize the gas meter designs, ensuring they are cost effective while meeting accuracy and pressure loss requirements over the working life. Provide technical support for the management of the meter calibration process, including the operational support of the calibration standards and equipment. Maintain procedures for the calibration processes and support equipment selection choices. Provide technical support to the software development teams to ensure the meter’s software is fully matched to the physical operation of the gas meter, and that the software supports calibration and meets accuracy requirements. Represent the company with statutory authorities regarding required standards of gas meters for US and international markets. Support for customer queries or complaints regarding meter measurement performance and standards. Support the gas meter manufacturing process management to optimize calibration and testing. Be responsible for continuous improvement to processes and procedures related to meter calibration. Responsible for adherence to Landis+Gyr’s End User IT Security policy and Baseline IT Security policy. Report any IT related security incidents as outlined in the IT Security policy. Comply with all EH&S legislation and company procedures. Competencies

Required: Engineering degree or equivalent in Electronic engineering, Physics, Computer Science or similar Minimum 5 years experience in electro-mechanical development Experience in natural gas or similar flow measurement preferred Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of all project aspects while demonstrating good decision-making skills. A confident person who can easily make technical presentations to other teams and departments within the company. Equally able to liaise with regulatory authorities. Pay is in the range of
$85,490 - $121,393
per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. Base salary offered depends on factors including qualifications, experience, and certifications.
