Military Flight Controls Division

Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer III is a highly experienced role that is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment in one or more facilities. Oversees and optimizes more complex manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Evaluates complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operators/production technicians. Develops complex manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; and conferring with equipment suppliers. Refines and enhances products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical or high-impact areas of production. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout and establishing and implementing design for manufacture and assembly plans. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six years or more of increasingly responsible related experience.
