Summary:
This position provides instrument and electrical technical support to salt water disposal (SWD) field operations. The position will troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform troubleshooting, predictive and preventative maintenance tasks on variable frequency drives (VFD), control systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA, and other equipment contained within SWD facilities and pipelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential duties for this position are listed below:
Install, diagnose, and maintain intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated equipment software
Install, diagnose, and maintain PLC systems & process or safety controls
Diagnose and troubleshoot and coordinate with 3rd party vendor on maintaining VFDs and associated electrical equipment components
Coordinate with integrity and reliability team on requirements for preventative maintenance tasks to be completed in a timely manner
Participate in call out/on call requirements
Actively participate in partnership safety programs and initiatives
Provide work direction, oversight, and inspect other work provided by third party contractors
Provide mentoring to operations personnel
Provide accurate written and electronic reporting
Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, instrumentation, and P&ID's
Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures
Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED
Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving record
Ability to maintain motor controls, relay logic, I&E associated end-devices
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word
Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions specific to In Touch Wonderware or Factory Talk, Allen Bradley RSLogix
Extensive knowledge of DOT 192, DOT 193, and DOT 195, as it pertains to required testing and documentation for plants, compressor stations, pipelines, and/or facilities as required
Demonstrated understanding of the National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 as it relates to electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications:
State Electrical License
Associates Degree in Instrumentation
Related software and system certifications (i.e. Factory Talk, Delta V, etc.)
