Associate Maintenance Manager
| Reports to:
Maintenance Manager

Tulare, CA
Responsibilities
Enforce a safety culture and maintain a safe working environment beyond regulatory compliance.
Maintain facilities and assets to meet regulatory guidelines (USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA).
Develop cost-effective preventative maintenance procedures to extend equipment life.
Assist with the capital program for equipment replacement and plant improvements with the Maintenance Manager.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineer, and Plant Management Team to improve safety, production quality, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
Develop corrective actions from key maintenance performance indicators to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
Coordinate line maintenance changeovers to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Ensure maintenance records, incident reports, investigations, and other required documentation are completed.
Maintain technical documentation for PLCs, instrumentation, and equipment (blueprints, manuals, SOPs, PMs, inventory/parts purchasing).
Manage, train, and develop maintenance team members; partner with HR on employee relations issues.
Coordinate with operations and quality teams to schedule maintenance and repairs in process areas.
Work with site leadership to manage expenses including labor, ingredients, packaging, inventory, maintenance, and overhead to acceptable levels.
Drive efficiency improvements by engaging the maintenance team and monitoring key metrics and processes.
Manage downtime reports, identify opportunities, and create action plans to increase efficiencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industries, or equivalent
5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong safety background with knowledge of 6S, LOTO, RCA, and reliability
Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, cooling towers, ammonia compressors, and packaging equipment
Ability to follow sanitation and quality policies and address deficiencies
Ability to lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a team
Understanding of cost containment and budgeting principles
Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance
Results-oriented with a sense of urgency for projects and production
Ability to interpret and present technical information with sound judgment
Strong GMP and food safety knowledge
Experience maintaining budgets and working with vendors
Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions
Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems including ammonia refrigeration and boilers
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a changing environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 + 15% annual bonus
