Actalent Job Title: Hardware Engineer A leading technology organization seeks a skilled Hardware Engineer to support mission-critical programs for customers, including the U.S. Department of Defense, major defense prime contractors, and large commercial enterprises. This role is essential to the design, development, and testing of advanced hardware systems and components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hardware engineering, a detail-oriented mindset, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional development.
Responsibilities
Design and develop hardware components, including PCBs, circuits, and systems, in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with software and other components.
Create prototypes for hardware components and conduct thorough testing to validate design concepts.
Identify and troubleshoot hardware-related issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, testing procedures, and outcomes.
Work with the documentation team to create user manuals and technical documentation for hardware products.
Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product development.
Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to improve overall product quality.
Ensure that hardware designs comply with industry standards, Mil standards, safety regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
Essential Skills
10+ years of experience in hardware design, development, and testing.
Proven experience in PCB Design.
Proficiency in using design and simulation tools such as Altium, Cadence, and SPICE.
Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in designing with Microprocessors, FPGAs, and other embedded systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Environment Work within a stable company that has received multiple recent awards. Enjoy a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off. This position involves working with equipment that goes into military installations and offers the opportunity to see projects through from design to manufacturing.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, South Carolina.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
