Electrical Engineer III

Design electrical components and elevator systems. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Understand and use A17.1 and A17.5 elevator codes as a basis for all designs. Utilize a wide degree of creativity and latitude in performing the essential functions of the role. Read requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used. Generate designs per the outlined requirements and specifications. Evaluate and produce designs for the manufacturing of hydraulic and traction elevators. Adhere to all safety procedures and company safety standards while working in the lab and test tower. Adhere to corporate compliance policy and ensure behavior in the workplace is that of a responsible professional. Lead and direct the work of others. Mentor and train Engineers I, II, and III. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. Eight years of experience required in job position or related engineering position, including any experience with: general electrical engineering concepts; motor drives control design, programming, and implementation; working in a lean manufacturing environment; elevator systems and codes; Leading and directing the work of others Using computer-assisted design software (i.e., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Adobe Writer) Hands-on technical wiring and assembly of electrical equipment. Following instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform job functions; and with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
