Job Title Mid-Level Process Mechanical BIM Designer
Job Description Join a dynamic and internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that excels in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Mid-Level Process Mechanical BIM Designer with supervisory and management responsibilities. This role demands expertise in detailed design of water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure, along with advanced proficiency in 3D design concepts and technology.
Responsibilities
Develop piping system layouts, including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in-line components from sketches, catalog cut sheets, and P&ID’s provided by engineers and design staff.
Generate fabrication isometric drawings from 3D design models.
Coordinate modeling and drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project level.
Ensure quality checking of drafted products and conformance with modeling and drawing production standards, including project-specific CAD/BIM requirements.
Generate 2D drawing views from 3D design models and develop them into final contract drawings.
Provide basic CAD technical support for junior level staff.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit, particularly in designing pumps and process piping systems.
Experience working on semiconductor, industrial projects, data centers, or food and beverage facilities.
8+ years of experience as a Designer.
5+ years of experience in process piping/process mechanical scope.
6+ years of experience in Revit (8/10 proficiency).
Ability to lead a project from start to finish.
Ability to identify various pumps, piping, valves, in-line components, and equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with high-tech projects, such as data centers and food & beverage facilities.
Demonstrated ability to provide CAD technical support.
Work Environment The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 50% of the time spent working from home and 50% in the office, located on the 2nd floor in Phoenix. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with minimal overtime required. The office prioritizes work/life balance, ensuring employees do not face burnout. There is an opportunity to work on large-scale projects across the US.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
