The Opportunity Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading projects to design electronic assemblies for aerospace and military applications such as engine controls, motor controls, power converters, sensors, and actuators. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-tech, cutting-edge products and have a high degree of ownership of your designs. The Lead Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for: Defining technical requirements for electrical/electronic assemblies Performing trade studies to determine the best system architecture Creating electrical schematics and selecting components Performing circuit analysis including component derating analysis and worst-case circuit analysis Coordinating with other engineers on mechanical and thermal design Performing or coordinating with other engineers to perform circuit board layout Coordinating with manufacturing and purchasing to fabricate hardware Ensuring that production unit cost of the product meets requirements Performing testing of electrical/electronic assemblies Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Experience with Altium Designer (or an equivalent software) for creation of electrical schematics and circuit board layouts Experience with SPICE based circuit analysis Experience with military, aerospace, automotive, and/or high reliability electronics The candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects The engineer will support testing of electronic assemblies and should be knowledgeable of MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160 or equivalent test procedures as well as HALT/HASS test methodology. Knowledge of EMI/EMC design considerations and design for high reliability / harsh environment applications. U.S. Citizenship is required Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
