Professional, supervisory, administrative and technical work directing all activities relating to a large S&WB Bureau. Some positions may also function as the second in command to a Utility Services Administrator. Work includes planning, assigning and reviewing the work of lower level managers and may include a staff of professional, technical and clerical employees. Work includes establishing and monitoring management controls for assigned operational area and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to Board operations where applicable; and related work as required. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university* Six (6) years of responsible professional experience with managing meter monitoring and maintenance activities for a large water utility company. Two (2) years of this experience must have been at the supervisory level. (Promotional)

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university* Permanent status with the Sewerage & Water Board in a class of work having a pay grade equal to or higher than Utility Services Manager (pay grade 88). Two (2) years of experience must have been at the supervisory level. * Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and certifications claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.

NOTE: Domicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application. Residency requirements are waived for all Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans positions vacant and advertised for at least 90 days. Employees hired under this waiver remain exempt from the city's residency requirement for the duration of their employment at the Sewerage and Water Board. (La R.S. 33:4076). BACKGROUND CHECK:

The City of New Orleans has a comprehensive program of substance abuse testing. Candidates for all other original entrance positions will have to undergo an unannounced substance abuse screening during their working test period. A MEDICAL EXAMINATION
