Electrical Consultants, Inc. Responsibilities
Design of new, upgraded and expanded substations at conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design stages, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Develop and deliver physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications. Under the mentorship of a Project Engineer, assist in executing projects with coordination, quality control and oversight of designers, drafters and support staff. Coordinate specialized tasks with ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups (Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration), and Transmission & Distribution Engineering). Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or 2+ years of design engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. Commitment to progress toward PE licensure is encouraged. Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards. May be subject to client-mandated drug and background checks. Occasional travel may be required; driver may be subject to auto insurance carrier requirements.
