The Mayo Clinic Special Purpose Processor Development Group (SPPDG) is a research group within Mayo Clinic, comprised of electronics hardware, software, and firmware engineers supporting various design, analysis, and testing efforts. We are seeking recent electrical engineering graduates (or those close to degree completion) for an entry-level position to gain familiarity with R&D activities. The candidate will perform fundamental electronics engineering tasks using state-of-the-art computerized tools, under close supervision with work reviewed by a supervisor or senior team members. Limited travel may be required. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in electronics hardware engineering. Coursework and/or project experience in electrical DC and AC circuits, electromagnetic fields and transmission line theory, PCB design, electronics laboratory testing, electronics power delivery, and circuit simulation/modeling. Note: This position requires obtaining and maintaining a Secret clearance and adhering to security requirements as described by NISPOM. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Compensation: $78,936.00 - $118,456.00 per year; education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when offers are extended. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, pre-tax savings (HSA/FSAs), retirement plan. Schedule and Work Details
Schedule: Full Time Hours/Pay Period: 80 Schedule Details: Monday-Friday; 9 hours per day, 9 weekdays per two week pay period (every other Friday off). Weekend Schedule: Not typical, but may be required to meet project deadlines. Site and Equal Opportunity
