Field Service Representative . Objectives for Technical Services and Field Services include supporting Tarkett as the leader in the flooring industry; providing excellent customer service; delivering technical sales support; and ensuring consistent, timely, and accurate documentation. The position involves working with resilient products such as LVT, sheet vinyl, VCT, vinyl stair treads, rubber tile, wall base, etc. * Ideally, this person would be based out of Southern California, Las Vegas, or Texas. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical support via in-person contact, telephone, and email (Product, Installation, Site Conditions, Maintenance, etc.). Perform troubleshooting and problem solving. Conduct claim inspections and technical evaluations in the field, involving travel throughout the western United States and Western Canada, with occasional trips outside North America. Submit detailed reports within 48 hours, including observations, photographs, samples, and evidence. Assist with product installation of soft surface materials (carpet tile, POWERBOND, broadloom) for trade shows, mock-ups, field testing, and creating tip sheet videos. Conduct training sessions and seminars, including hands-on installation demonstrations and presentations. Administer POWERBOND and broadloom certification tests (written and practical), and manage the certification process. Travel 50% - 75% with Tarkett Account Executives to support customer visits with technical expertise. Experience and Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office). Effective communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus. Flooring installation experience, especially with POWERBOND, woven, and tufted broadloom.
