Pay
The Automation Assembly Technician is paid $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr. Responsibilities
Performs the mechanical assembly of automation machinery according to drawings, schematics and work instructions. Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent assembly. Fabricates or modifies parts as needed to achieve proper fit and function. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws and other fasteners. Operates machine or component after assembly to test for proper operation, adjusting machine controls or control media as required. Identifies and resolves complex technical issues with an assembled automated product, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Inspects assembly to verify conformance of finished product to design specifications on drawings and accompanying documentation. Requirements
Proficient in the operation of drill presses, power saws and miscellaneous powered, manual hand tools. Proficient in the use of measuring instruments to assist in assembly operations. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints. Ability to operate welding equipment is preferred but not required. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail. Travel as needed for machine installations, service and other on‑site customer requirements. Qualifications
