Sustainment Test & Evaluation Engineer
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force's (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct operations and sustainment activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our Nation's warfighters.
We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to provide test and evaluation and terminal operations on a diverse set of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure. Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment IPT located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB) and be an important part of directly supporting the Joint and Allied operational warfighting community, currently employing MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals, and software applications worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, coordinate, and execute testing on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global-ASNT), Time Distribution Subsystem PreProcessor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), and various other MILSATCOM systems, subsystems, and devices
Provide engineering and technician-level support, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, system-level anomaly resolution, and the identification and isolation of software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports

Qualifications Required
Active Secret clearance required for this position
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline from an accredited university
Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
5+ years of small team leadership experience
5+ years experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
5+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
5+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
Desired
5+ years of Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency (OTA) or other test organizations
Specific experience operating or maintaining the following: FAB-T, MMS, Global-ASNT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, KG-250), and/or related infrastructure/support equipment
Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment
International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification or higher
Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Compensation Basic Compensation: The pay range for this position in Colorado is $99,000/year to $130,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
