STULZ USA Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr The Production Planner acts as the central point of contact for all responsibilities related to production planning and scheduling products for STULZ. The Production Planner will report directly to the Materials Manager and be responsible for the production planning process. The role will maintain the master schedule, troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate with cross-functional team members, and report department KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare work orders for the production of parts based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements

Performs shop order release/closure in the MRP System and reconciles parts

Develop and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization

Perform rough-cut and validate capacity planning

Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicate constraints to schedule

Coordinate with cross-functional team members, including warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics, and minimize production disruptions

Utilize daily production compliance reports for managing daily workloads and communicating manufacturing status

Generate and maintain accurate production reports, including progress, delays, and performance metrics

Qualifications

Demonstrates good organizational and multitasking abilities, works well with others, and ability to think outside the box

MUST have SAP experience

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen

This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills

This position will directly impact the whole plant’s schedule and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention to non-stockout material and on-time deliveries

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field preferred

3+ years of production/planning/scheduling work experience in a manufacturing supply chain

Manufacturing Planning experience with high-customization, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, make to make-to-order environment

Strong analytical and decision-making ability

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

Sound understanding of MRP functional flows and requirement generation

Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)

Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling

Experience working with a cross-functional team

Computer experience required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Trello). Must have expert/advanced Excel experience, including Excel Macro preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

APICS CPIM certification preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment in a manufacturing plant. Employee will at times be required to work with supervisors/managers on the production floor to understand material/supply needs
