Actalent Support QC inspectors, line operators and others performing first-piece, in-process and receiving inspections. Conduct incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on critical components as needed. Manage customer and third-party on-site inspection events. Verify documentation packages prior to submission to customers or third-party organizations. Facilitate training sessions for team members on quality practices and techniques. Serve as a liaison with subcontractors in interpreting specifications and defining quality requirements. Develop quality control plans and processes for complete range of products, including inspection methods and test plans. Including but not limited to: Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), control plans, inspection forms, work instructions, quality alerts, and other documents reflecting these plans. Work with Company managers, engineers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other interested parties to: Manage nonconformances including identification, quarantine, evaluation, root cause analysis, and disposition. Issue Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Corrective Action Request (SCAR) as applicable. Collaborate with design and production teams to review product specifications and processes. Oversee calibration and/or maintenance of measuring equipment, gauges, go/no go gauges, jigs / fixtures, etc. Operational Support Inventory Audit Support. Audit Shipping Labels and Packing List. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality assurance responsibilities. Provide support to the Quality Manager, and act as backup when needed.
Associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or quality curriculum, or 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of electro-mechanical components and assemblies. Ability to use a wide variety of measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, multi-meters. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products. Experience in working in an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) environment.
