Lead Electrical Engineer 1 - Nuclear Join Sargent &ldquorlundy as a Lead Electrical Engineer 1 for nuclear projects.

WORK LOCATION: Hybrid schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week at the Peachtree Corners, GA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the group to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables and meet technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations.

Initiate, convey scope of work and define deliverables (calcs, specs, drawings, design change).

Review status and track progress of group members to maintain scope/budget and keep client informed.

Routine status meetings, progress reports, tracking and resolving open items and emergent project issues.

Coordinate completion of project deliverables and lead the team for detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work.

Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants and provide technical oversight and supervision for all electrical engineering activities.

Interface with client to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction; mentor and guide group development; identify and follow up on client needs that may result in strategic opportunities.

Prepare and coordinate multi-discipline proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

10+ years of experience designing electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants.

3+ years of experience leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design.

Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications.

Experience serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.

Experience with electrical system design including low and medium voltage distribution systems.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Detail oriented approach.

Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station.

PE license is preferred.

COMPENSATION RANGE

$116,620.00 - $179,890.00

The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our yearly discretionary bonus.
