About The Role
The Maintenance Electrician is a union position. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. The prime objective of this position is to ensure the integrity and reliability of all plant equipment via timely, planned, thorough and consistent maintenance activities and inspections. The electrician is responsible for carrying out electrical/maintenance processes and PM program inspections throughout the Seattle Grinding Plant.
What You’ll Accomplish
Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment, health and safety are the first priority of the business.
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptales, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cables assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical component.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
Coordinate with assigned Foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
Maintain assigned equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring availability in a safe operating condition.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We Are Looking For Education:
Technical diploma / Electrical apprenticeship
Additional Education Preferred:
Certified Journeyperson Electrician
Required Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years of industrial experience
Required Technical Skills:
Knowledge of local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
Additional Requirements
Good communication skills – verbal and listening.
Safety experience with lock out/ tag out and working at heights.
Instrumentation experience.
SAP experience preferred.
Compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Must be able to work within a team environment as well as independently.
Punctual and reliable; good attendance required.
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, reactors, electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to identify electrical wires by color.
Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
What We Offer
Estimated Wage Range $43.78- $51.78/Hourly
