MW Talent is partnering with a leading chemical manufacturer to hire a Product Development Chemist to join their innovative research and development team. This position plays a vital role in designing and optimizing resin-based products that support the company’s continued growth and technical leadership in the chemical industry.

About the Role The Product Development Chemist will work closely with the Product Development and Applications Manager to design, test, and enhance resin formulations through applied lab work and creative problem‑solving. The ideal candidate is someone who doesn’t just follow instructions but

thinks independently , brings

fresh ideas , and contributes suggestions to improve existing and new product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute projects to develop and optimize resin products.

Formulate and synthesize formaldehyde-based resins

and other polymer systems.

Conduct wet chemistry testing , analyze data, and troubleshoot production issues.

Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, and Applications teams to provide technical support.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments and project results.

Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment following company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Take initiative to suggest product improvements and contribute to innovation discussions.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in

Chemistry

or a related scientific discipline.

2-3 years of industrial laboratory experience

(polymer role required).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.

Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional environments.

Ability to work safely with hazardous materials.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Chemistry

or Polymer Science.

Experience with formaldehyde-based resin chemistry

(strongly preferred).

Knowledge of experimental design (DOE), project planning, and resin production processes.

Proven ability to innovate and think creatively in a laboratory or product development setting.
