Job Overview

The Hilton Houston Westchase is looking for a skilled and reliable Engineer to help keep our hotel running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs in hotel guest rooms, meeting space, restaurant and common areas. Repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry areas and equipment. Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns and building related safety issues. Maintain departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures. Support hotel departmental maintenance programs and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists. Assist in the supervision of temporary maintenance projects and specify proper supplies and equipment for operations. Respond to hotel guest related concerns with a positive, guest‑centered and hospitable manner. Maintain the guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in good repair by carrying out tasks related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling. Clean and maintain pool and spa area. Respond to emergencies when not physically at the job site and work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Qualifications

At least 6 months hotel maintenance department experience in a similar capacity. Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry concepts. Experience handling common housekeeping, maintenance and pool chemicals in a safe manner. Knowledge of basic hand/power tool operation. Physical Demands
