We are currently seeking a passionate and driven

Entry Level Roadway Engineer

to join our growing team in

Raleigh, Kernersville or Charlotte, North Carolina . This is a full‑time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Pay:

$65,000 – $85,000/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Entry Level Roadway Engineer Essential Functions

Perform roadway engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design.

Provide engineering design services for traditional design‑bid‑build projects and design‑build transportation projects.

Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and plans for roadway projects.

Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates, to facilitate the implementation of roadway projects.

Work with senior engineers and other team members to ensure effective communication, coordination, and progress of roadway projects.

Stay updated on relevant transportation engineering codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities And Duties

Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.

Ability to react quickly and calmly to high‑pressure situations.

Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in team settings.

Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a project site.

Occasional travel may be required.

Other duties as assigned.

Education

ENTRY LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Preferred: EIT Certification

Qualifications

Required: 1+ years of roadway design experience

Required: Experience working with Municipal or State DOTs.

Preferred: MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads software experience.
