Overview
We are seeking a HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct assignment in Cary, North Carolina. The selected candidate will work with a multi-discipline team to produce HVAC mechanical and plumbing systems concepts, fire protection design concepts and perform HVAC mechanical and plumbing calculations. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm This is a Direct Hire position This position can work a Hybrid schedule in Cary, NC This position requires a Professional Engineer License (PE) Responsibilities
Meet with clients to represent mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) for pharmaceutical projects Oversee HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Assess project requirements and oversee project design to completion Manage designers and budgeted hours Work with code officials and other design professionals when there is an interpretation or exception to design standards HVAC mechanical and plumbing calculations including load and energy / total cost of ownership analysis Coordinate with other disciplines towards a comprehensive and coordinated product Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering A Professional Engineer License (PE) 15+ years experience within Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Life Sciences industry A Solid understanding of cGMP, ISO and ISPE standards A Solid understanding of HVAC and associated hydronic systems Working knowledge of HVAC and pumping control strategies
