The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an established water practice in the
Greater Philadelphia Area (Philadelphia, PA; Conshohocken, PA or Newark, DE)
working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects. Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership on complex civil design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff. Work with mid-level staff and lead multi-discipline project design teams virtually and locally. Interface with client and regulatory agencies. Manage civil and stormwater design and resiliency projects. Coordinate projects with civil design and modeling teams. Design pipe conveyance and modeling of collection systems. Develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Oversee and prepare engineering reports and documentation. Prepare engineering services proposals, fee estimates, and schedules. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in design and engineering. The selected candidate must be available to work in Philadelphia, PA, Conshohocken, PA or Newark, DE office on a scheduled basis. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with an emphasis in water, wastewater, or another related field. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in PA, NJ, DE
or ability to obtain within 6 months. Valid U.S. Driver’s License and, as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of extensive project experience in municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design, analysis, installation, inspection, and management in design within dense urban settings. Strong knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater design codes, standards, and regulations. Strong communication skills in coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish objectives. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods. Experienced technical writer. Proven experience developing engineering deliverables such as reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and other detailed deliverables. Proven experience working on storm water, water, wastewater, or flood protection/resilience projects.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Compensation: USD 115,000 - USD 150,000 per year.
