Maintenance Technician

Overview This position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities and respond to break-downs in a production environment. All Maintenance Technician positions are multi-craft, with training provided to develop these skills.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance activities and respond to production line breakdowns.
Collaborate with a team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
A technical degree in the mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
The production schedule is 3 shifts; shifts are assigned by plant needs and seniority, with opportunities to change shifts when schedules change.
Authorized to work in the US.
Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range = $27.33 – $42.97 based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.

PCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay.
Technicians supply their own basic hand tools. PCA provides a tool stipend (or replacement) to help maintain basic hand tools. PCA provides all special and heavy tools.
PCA provides safety shoes and safety glasses stipends and uniforms for maintenance technicians.
