Description Truck Assembly Technician – Location: Clio, MI | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Occasional Overtime We are hiring a skilled and motivated Truck Assembly Technician with a strong background in 12-volt electrical systems, light welding, vehicle system programming, and a working knowledge of hydraulic systems. Ideal candidates bring high mechanical aptitude, technical training, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship. As part of our vehicle assembly team, you’ll play a vital role in modifying and customizing trucks to meet industry-specific and customer-driven requirements. This includes installing and wiring complex systems on utility trucks, cranes, bobtails, and other specialty vehicles. Paid training and long-term growth opportunities Positive team culture built on craftsmanship, respect, and innovation Requirements Key Responsibilities: Install and wire electrical components such as switches, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, and sensors Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical blueprints, and assembly diagrams Route and secure wiring harnesses along truck frames, chassis, and between axles Program and configure vehicle control modules using tablet-based interfaces Perform light welding and fabrication Support assembly and enhancement of hydraulic systems and mechanical components Operate forklifts and material handling equipment Work in confined spaces and at elevated positions when necessary Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; contribute to shop maintenance, inventory, and organization tasks Qualifications: Hands-on experience with 12-volt wiring, vehicle assembly, or mechanical systems Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics Familiarity with hydraulic systems and mechanical integration High mechanical aptitude or completion of relevant vocational/technical training Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tablets Valid driver’s license required Forklift experience preferred (training available) Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and time management Able to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately Strong problem solving and documentation skills
