Hiring Supply Chain Professionals Across the Midwest! (Position Title: Maintenance Planner)

Position Summary The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment and facilities within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling:

Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.

Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize operational disruptions.

Prioritize work orders based on safety, production impact, and resource availability.

Work Order Management:

Review and process maintenance work requests.

Create detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and estimated time requirements.

Ensure accurate documentation of completed work orders and maintenance history.

Inventory & Procurement:

Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate procurement to ensure availability.

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source parts and services.

Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Support root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a food and beverage or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).

Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
