We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Cincinnati, OH area as a telecommuter, traveling to customer locations in the region. This position is responsible for on-site setup and installation of EFI industrial inkjet printers, working with the customer on pre-installation requirements and assisting with unloading components and positioning the print system in the facility. What You Will Do

Uncrate and install controller, print heads, remote cabinets, and all UV components; verify electrical power and compressed air with a Certified Electrician; perform initial setup and adjustments; thoroughly test the printer to ensure printed images meet factory standards. Provide initial and ongoing formal customer operator and printer maintenance training, including coordination with Inkjet customers and assessing training needs to determine additional EFI Inkjet training requirements. Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs for complex electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic issues as directed by the Field Service Manager and EFI Inkjet customer support team. Provide detailed technical feedback via the EFI Inkjet Case Management System (CMS) during and after each customer visit following EFI Inkjet guidelines. Maintain a demanding travel schedule up to 75% of the workweek and occasional weekend work to meet customer needs; drive to customer sites weekly. This Role Might Be a Good Fit If You

Have a minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology. Have at least two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices at high-demand customer locations. Demonstrate strong customer management skills and commitment to customer satisfaction. Can independently manage a large service territory, including effective management of assets (parts, tools, company information). Can troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level. Can provide telephone technical support and effectively communicate (telephone and email) with Product Service Engineers (Hardware and Applications). Have working knowledge of RIPS, color theory, Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, and basic networking protocols. Desirable knowledge of materials and chemicals used in the printing industry. Have in-depth knowledge of personal computers, industrial inkjet printers, large format printers and/or presses and printing applications. Know high and low voltage wiring and be able to identify and qualify single-phase and three-phase power requirements. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, including using critical alignment tools with tolerances of .001". Be able to frequently lift objects up to 70 lb.
