Overview
Epstein is seeking a new graduate
Civil Transportation Design Engineer
to join our Civil Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, proactive and will have experience specific to transportation (IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, municipalities) and roadways. Experience with Microstation including CONNECT edition and Open Road Designer is preferred. This position requires candidates to design innovative and technically sound solutions in accordance with project requirements and application codes.
Responsibilities
Design transportation projects in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
0-3 years of successful design experience within a consulting engineering firm
Knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation or Illinois Tollway design standards, procedures and specifications is preferred
Strong knowledge of Microstation, including CONNECT and Open Roads Design is preferred
Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
