Overview

To succeed as a Field Service Engineer, you'll need to be open to travel to customer sites [industrial or renewable] for long periods of time, work independently, have great communication skills, and be well organized. We are looking for a motivated individual with a technical background in servicing wind turbines. The Field Service Engineer will provide hands on service and aftermarket support for our customers in North America (worldwide, if needed). He or she will also support our claims and quality department in North America (worldwide, if needed). The candidate for this position will work closely with our management team based in Denver, CO. If you're equipped with Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO), consider this a step ahead- otherwise we will provide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

100% travel; passport required Travel to support various scopes of work across the US, and possibly Mexico and Canada. The engineer must be competent to work on wind turbines, and other hydraulic braking systems found in mine sites, and other industrial segments. Specific trainings and electrical / mechanical competencies are an asset. Climb wind turbines (upwards of 130m) to perform diagnostic testing, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components/systems.

Complete various reports, checklists, and hazard analyses as they pertain to the job scope. Participate in company and customer HSE/training programs. Deliver exceptional customer experience/service to our partners in the industry. Follow and implement work procedures for specific scopes of work to inspect, repair, and maintain wind turbine components Populate, track and communicate client and company documentation on a daily basis Maintain a clean work area, equipment, and tooling Maintain required training certifications for the position (Fall Protection/Rescue Training, LOTO, First Aid/CPR/AED) etc., including GWO certifications: Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid, ART, BTT, SGTT Prepare for each service visit by investigating scope of work, gathering and reviewing manuals and drawings, requesting pictures and information from site, and coordinating with customer personnel as needed Perform service onsite including but not limited to: verify brakes, brackets, discs, couplings/hubs and hydraulic systems; review electrical drawings; troubleshoot faults; check brake system during regular service visits; verify speed sensors and electrical connections; integrate the brake system with the customer PLC during startup and commissioning; present UC Case and its benefits Post-service duties: write detailed, high-quality reports with recommended spare parts; upsell spare parts; ensure manuals and drawings are updated; coordinate with engineering as needed Work with installed base documentation to capture new service jobs and spare parts sales; maintain customer contacts Call customer sites to promote future PM service visits Secure service contracts with customers Assist with selling IIoT and system upgrades Perform field claim jobs Develop training programs for customers Ad hoc assignments typical of a small office Critical Competencies

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to listen to customers’ wants, needs and expectations Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred, but not required Technical understanding and background required Proficient with Microsoft Office products (minimum Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Customer service skills (prompt and courteous communication to achieve customer satisfaction) Ability to work in a team environment and share information among peers Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
